F.A.Q.

Each charm is different. Some are made from plastic, some are made from lightweight alloy metals such as pewter, most are made from brass that has been either silver or gold plated. All of our charms are completely lead-free and have not been known to cause an allergic reaction, however, we cannot guarantee that they are all nickel-free.
All of our hair bows are made from either heavy duty, imported grosgrain ribbon or double-satin ribbon. They are stitched using our own technique meaning that they are durable and built to last. Each one is lovingly sewn by hand :)
Most of our chains, earring wires or posts are either silver or gold plated. Some are steel or black metal plated as stated in the item description.
At the moment we are unable to take on any new wholesale customers. We're hoping to be able to offer wholesale prices to new accounts in the future though, so watch this space...
We have a Facebook profile and a fan page. You can find the profile at http://www.facebook.com/sugarandvicejewellery and the fan page by searching 'Sugar & Vice'. We'd love to have you as a friend :)
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it. If you don't have one, after you click the 'confirm your order' button, look for the link that says 'Don't have a PayPal account?' on the next page. Select that link to pay using a debit or credit card. You will not be required to sign up for a PayPal account at all.
This store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).
Our store has a built in currency converter so that you can alter the prices to match a choice of US Dollars, Euros, Canadian Dollars or Australian Dollars with ease. If you live outside these areas then we recommend visiting www.xe.com. It's a fantastic site for accurate currency conversions. Please note, there may be a slight variation between the prices shown on our site and the final value displayed during checkout when viewing the prices in any currency other than Pounds Sterling. This is down to very slight differences between the exchange rates used by our currency converter and those used by PayPal. These differences will only be very small!
First check your reciept to see if you paid by eCheque or by instant payment! eCheques can take up to two weeks to clear and we cannot send out your items until the process is complete. Your PayPal account will contain details of the expected clearing date. If you sent instant payment, please refer to our 'Shipping & Returns' page for details of what to do in the event that your order is taking its time to arrive!
We do not use professional models and do not plan to do so in the future. We get an overwhelming number of messages from amateur and professional models but unfortunately our answer will remain the same regardless of the circumstances.
We're not telling so please don't ask!
Check that the item you want to attach the patch to is ironable. Nylon, vinyls and leather are NOT suitable.

Put iron on a high setting (make sure steam setting is OFF).

Position patch, design facing up.

Place a cloth or a light towel over the patch and press very firmly with the iron for 30 seconds.

Turn the garment over and press firmly with iron again for another 30 seconds.

Allow to cool for a minute and then check the edges of the patch to see if they lift. If they do, repeat previous step.
